Who is Reverend Greg Hamby?
The Rev. Greg Hamby has been serving as Pastor of Quaker Hill Baptist Church since January of 1995. Greg was born in South Bend, IN in 1960, grew up in Huntington, WV where he graduated from Huntington East High School in 1978 and Marshall University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Greg then graduated from the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1989 with a Masters of Divinity degree.
He was also selected by the faculty to represent Eastern in that years' "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." Before coming to QHBC Greg served for 5 years as Associate Pastor of The First Baptist Church of Toledo, OH.
Greg has served the American Baptist Churches nationally by providing leadership for several national youth gatherings. He continues to serve the American Baptist Churches of CT by providing workshops on various topics at educational events and by serving on a number of boards and committees. Greg also has a great time leading workshops throughout the region on Team Ministry and The Emergent Church.
In his spare time Greg loves spending time with his family, playing and listening to music, reading, and is an obsessive follower of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
Greg and his wife Nancy live in Norwich where their 3 children Nick, Addison, and Hallie keep life more than interesting. |
